GENERAL MANAGER

Born in 1969 and guiding since 1989, Frode has 1000's of tours under his belt. Frode has been involved with starting several  companies: Flåteopplevelser AS, Dagali Rafting, Voss Rafting and now Norway Active. He was also the first to Raft Dagali Falls and the Raundalselva. Frode is also a Full time Teacher and was a Paratropper in Norway's Jegerkommando for 10 years.  These days he spends more time in the office than he would like, but is driven to develop VRS and future projects.

Board Member and Shareholder

Manager of base / equipment.  Dave is Australian and has been  guiding since 1987 with thousands of trips to his name. Dave has years of experience in the international rafting world and has been involved in developing Voss Rafting Center from the start and is the company's role model when it comes to customer service, gear maintenance and general wisdom

Norwegian. Guided since 1997 in Austrailia and Norway with many trips under his belt.  Christian is an up and coming businessman in Voss and works way too hard for Bula / Skigutane.

Booking Manager

Norwegian. Runs our office and is responsible for bookings, sales and marketing.  AT has an amazing ability to multi-task when the bookings and phone are going crazy!   Anne Torill loves to ski, hike travel and drive a really fast motorbike!

Operation Manager Elvatun.

Guide since 1999. Cocktail of  Spanish / English with 1,000's of river trips under the bridge. Jose is Manager of the Årestova and spa facility.  Jose is that is not only chief, waiter and the driver of all our vehicles big bus, but also one of the most experienced guides in Voss.

Operation Manager - Activities

From the UK, and has been guiding for more than 14 years all round the world from Norway to NZ. Allan has been working for VRS since 2000 and has been involved in developing our products quality and safety. He is an acomplished kayaker and has been involved in some of the worlds hardest river expeditions.  When not in the office or a raft you will find him paddling a river nearby, unless its cold, in which case he will be working on this web site!.

Senior Guide

Mike has been with us since 2000 but has been guiding for many more years! A world class kayaker and expert river guide, you will never be in more capable hands! Mike is almost a local in Voss now, runs his own kayak courses and works with Ski Patrol during the winter season.

Senior Guide

From UK, Andy started as a raft guide in Austria in 1997 and has rafted in Norway, Morocco and UK. Andy has spent most of his life in his kayak representing the UK in kayak freestyle and kayaking all over the world.

Chief Driver

Norwegian.  Birger is our Master driver and has worked with us for 10 seasons now.  Biger has a driving licenses for everything on wheels and is a master of narrow roads! Working for the ski lift company in the winter. Birger is one of the few "natives" in the company.

From Washington state in the USA, David has raft guided for 20+ years in the USA, Chile, Nepal, India, New Zealand, and Africa. When he is not guiding, he can be found exploring steep creeks.

We are always on the look out for talented guides.  As VRS grows we are looking for multi-skilled, multi-tasking guides with experience with rivers, ropes, events and general outdoor activities.

GUIDES APPLYING FOR WORK FOR NEXT SEASON:

We are looking for guides with experience in all or most of the following areas:

• Rafting - Class 1 - 4+
  
• Riverboarding
• Canyoning
• Rappelling and other rope skills
  
• High Ropes courses
• Team building and events
• Fishing
• Video - (We are only interested in Video personnel that are also guides.)

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

• All staff require a EU COMMERCIAL 17 seater Minibus license - Or recognized overseas equivalent.
• WRT, SRT or equivalent River Rescue Course.
• First Aid Certification.
